In May of 2016, Union County Public Schools recognized their first group of graduating seniors (27) to receive the Work Ethic Seal Award.

Seniors who were awarded the Seal had to:

  • Take the initiative to apply for the program
  • Maintain an average daily attendance rate of 96% for the year
  • Be in good disciplinary standing with no major infractions committed
  • Maintain a GPA of 2.5 or higher
  • Be involved in at least two approved extra-curricular activities
  • Complete an online program to earn a Soft Skills Certificate

In addition to the awards dinner to recognize their achievement, students will receive a completion certificate, and a letter of recommendation signed by both the Superintendent and the UCF president.

Seal recipients will also receive a special recognition cord to be worn during graduation and will receive an official Union County Work Ethic Seal stamp on their high school transcript.
