About Union County

Located in the Northwestern part of the state, nestled along the Ohio River, Union County is consistently one of the top agriculture producing counties in the state of Kentucky each year, ranking at or near the top in corn and soy bean production.  In 2012, Union County was also the top coal producing county in the entire state.

Geographically, too, Union County, Kentucky is the perfect location.  From Union County, you are just a day's drive from many major metropolitan market cities (Atlanta, Birmingham, Chicago, Detroit, Cleveland, Cincinnati, St. Louis, Kansas City, Indianapolis, Louisville, Nashville and Memphis).

Union County is also fortunate enough to be located on the Ohio River.  Having access to this major water-way, as another source of transportation, is invaluable.

Union County is also a paradise for hunters, fishermen and recreation enthusiasts.
